LoveLoud Pike is a local, annual missions event, organized by the Pike Association of Southern Baptists. During the week-long event, local churches partner together to perform acts of kindness in the name of Jesus Christ throughout Pike County and beyond, according to 1 John 3:18. Adults as well as students at least 12 years of age can participate in construction projects, community service, and outreach/evangelism. Participants ages 8-11 can serve on community service and outreach/evangelism teams if accompanied by one of their parents/legal guardians at all times.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is LoveLoud Pike?
LoveLoud 2023 will take place June 25-June 30, 2023.
Who can participate in LoveLoud?
Adults and students (age 12 and up) from Pike Association churches as well as other like-minded evangelical churches are welcome and encouraged to participate. Participants age 8-11 can serve on community service and outreach/evangelism teams as long as one of their parents/legal guardians serve on the team with them.
Will childcare be available?
Childcare will be available during each evening worship service for children ages newborn-Pre-K. Please note that due to the changing circumstances surrounding COVID-19, our childcare plans are subject to change.
How do I register?
We have shifted to online registration this year. Click the button below to register.
If a member of your church plans to complete the online registration for your church group, you can download a paper copy of the Participant Application here. Online registration must still be completed on your behalf and the signed paper copy must be presented during Participant Orientation on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church.
When is the deadline to register?
The Early Bird deadline is April 10, 2023, and the final deadline is May 15, 2023.
How much does it cost to participate in LoveLoud?
The Early Bird Registration Fee is $65 per participant. Registrations after the Early Bird deadline will be $90 per participant.
What is included in the registration fee?
Each LoveLoud participant will receive a LoveLoud t-shirt, other participant supplies, lunch and dinner each day, transportation to/from ministry site each day, and the background check for required applicants.
is a background check required to serve?
Because all LoveLoud teams will have children under the age of 18, we now require a background check of all adult participants age 18 and older. A new background check will be required at least every three years. The background check is included in your registration fee.
What type of projects occur during LoveLoud?
There are 3 general categories of LoveLoud projects: Community Service, Construction, and Outreach. Past projects have included building wheelchair ramps, roof repairs, porch repairs, flooring installation, landscaping, painting, lawn care, free car washes, free yard sales, water bottle giveaways, light bulb giveaways, Bible distribution, block parties, prayerwalking, and community needs surveys.
Are there other ways to serve?
Yes! Lunches have to be prepared and delivered each day to all of our mission teams. There is no registration fee to serve as a Meal Prep Team Member, but you can order a LoveLoud t-shirt for $10. Contact the Pike Association office for more details.
